Each stage is designed to address specific issues that normally arise during the construction of a new home.

INFORMATION SHARING

We guide you through all the documentation relating to your new home, so that everything is clearly understood before the work starts. During this stage we also look at and explain all the costs involved in the process of building a new home. We give you a crystal clear view of what to expect. We look at:

  • The Building Agreement
  • Plans
  • Specifications

QUALITY INSPECTIONS

Using a Custom Checklist, we inspect the area at regular intervals, and make sure that the build adheres to all specifications and standards. During this stage we do extensive site inspections ensuring the quality of work done. It starts with creating a custom checklist for your specific project, making sure that all aspects of work conform to the specified standards. Inspections are done at regular intervals determined throughout the process but no longer than two weeks apart. Each inspection lasts about one hour, depending on the quality of work.

TRANSPARENCY REPORTS

After each inspection we give you photos of each defect and give a suggested solution based on decades of construction experience. This report will comment on progress, overall quality of work and have a detailed breakdown of all defects, including recommended solutions. The report will be sent to all relevant parties to improve transparency. Reports also provide a detailed paper trail of all work done, providing enforceable accountability.

SNAG LIST

We know the ins and outs of your project and where the weak points are. We give you a list of items to be fixed before occupation. These are unforeseen problems and are not governed by regulations or plans. It is an important step, as some contractors will not repair certain items if they are not mentioned in this list.

We’ve seen it all and we can help you with the possible difficulties and pitfalls you may face. We will assist clients who might experience problems after moving in. This value added service is at your disposal should you need it. Engineering assistance is available on structural issues when it’s out of our scope of experience. Quality legal advice is essential if there is a dispute between you and a third party.
